Notes
Data source. Wall thickness and weight figures follow IS 4984:2016, the Indian Standard for high density polyethylene pipes for water supply.
Wall thickness. The first figure is the minimum wall; the second is the maximum permitted by the standard. Our pipe is made to hold the minimum wall at every point.
Bore. Calculated from the outside diameter and wall thickness. The larger bore goes with the minimum wall, the smaller bore with the maximum wall.
Weight. Theoretical weight per metre from the standard. Actual weight varies a little with the wall thickness held during production.
Flow figure. Indicative only — bore area multiplied by the velocity you select. It is not a substitute for a hydraulic design that accounts for friction loss, fittings and head.
Not available. Some SDR and size combinations are outside the standard's tables, so no figure is shown.
Sprinkler, sewerage and other standards. We also manufacture to IS 14333:2022 for sewerage. Ask us for those charts.
